SAFETY

The crossover 3008 is designed to offer optimum safety on all levels: active safety is guaranteed by the high targets set for the car's handling characteristics, while passive safety is based on the optimised body structure (in particular the triple impact-absorption structure in the front or the Boge Wagon shock absorber) and the efficient occupant restraint technology (6 airbags) ensures tertiary safety. Improving tertiary safety is the aim of the Peugeot Urgence* service, which can locate the vehicle and send out the emergency assistance call in the event of an accident. Launched in 2003, the service is provided free with the new WIP Com 3D* system available on 3008. * Available as option depending on version

Head up display

Head-Up Display* projects essential driver information onto a folding screen positioned within the driver's field of vision: speed, cruise control or speed limiter settings, Distance Alert®* information (system to help drivers to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front). Drivers have all the information they need without taking their eyes off the road for even safer driving. * Available as option depending on version

Electric parking brake

3008 is fitted with an electric parking brake as standard. The brake automatically engages when the engine is switched off and releases again when the driver accelerates. It is combined with the Hill Assist* function, which temporarily prevents the car from rolling on a hill giving the drive time to accelerate. * Available as option depending on version.
